17.12 Thirty Minutes Late
It’s the hottest day of the year.
The hottest day ever.
Hotter than Texas.
I’ve had a headache since 10.00.
And I’m sitting on a train that’s going nowhere.
All the way from 1973 Bobby Goldsboro sings: “... the sweat trickled down, the front of her gown, and I thought it would melt her...”
Everyone is melting.
But it’s not very alluring.
