17.29 Three Minutes Late
Another 'Communications Event' is coming up soon.
It's been in the diary for months now, complete with three-line 'no leave allowed on this day, everyone must attend' whip. The general feeling is, most people are keen enough anyway, although the motives are ignoble and range from the cynical 'you don't have to do any work and you get a decent dinner' to the gleeful ' there might be a punch up' .... or is that the Christmas Do they're talking about?
News just in, however, is that HeadHoncho won't be there. He's inadvertently booked a holiday which clashes with the date.
I'm betting on DeputyMoleMan still feeling the need to ask: "Why do you think you are all so de-motivated ?" And sticking his fingers in his ears and going "la la la la" while he gets the answer.
